What is straight-switch?
In November 2024 OSFI carved out an exemption from the MQR (minimum qualifying rate) stress test for uninsured renewals that move to a new lender without increasing the principal or extending the amortization. This tool checks all three conditions so you know whether you can actually shop the market without re-qualifying.
